This notice explains how moon-sweepers.org handles information when you read guides, search the site, use calculators or track locations on the map.
Information needed to deliver the website
Opening a page sends a request to the website’s hosting service. Requests may include an IP address, browser information, the requested URL and diagnostic details used to deliver and protect the service. The handling and retention of operational logs depend on the hosting configuration; this notice does not claim a retention period that has not been established.
The site does not currently provide player accounts, a newsletter subscription, a contact submission form or a public comment system. You do not need to enter a Steam account, password or game save to read the content.
Search queries
Typing into the navigation search sends your query to the site’s /api/search endpoint so it can return matching pages. Submitting the search form also puts the query in a /search?q= URL. These requests may appear in browser history and hosting logs. Do not enter passwords, private messages or other sensitive information into search.
Search uses the website’s own content rather than your game files. It does not read your Steam library or connect to your game session.
Map progress and browser storage
The interactive map saves visited marker identifiers in your browser’s localStorage under moon-map-progress. This lets you return to your own checklist on the same browser. The stored list is separate from your game save and is not a crew-wide progress record.
You can clear it through your browser’s site-data controls. Clearing browser data or using a different browser can remove or separate the saved checklist. Your marker selections also appear in the page fragment when you share a location link.
Calculators and preferences
Production and upgrade calculations run in your browser using the values you enter. The site does not currently have an application endpoint that collects calculator inputs. Choosing a preset loads values already supplied with the website.
The site does not currently integrate advertising or analytics tracking scripts. If those features are introduced, this notice must be updated to describe their actual behaviour.
Links, images and other services
Following a link to Steam or another website sends a request to that service and is subject to its privacy practices. This site cannot control the cookies or data handling of a destination you choose to visit.
Site pages can link to original image and information sources. The website does not request access to your microphone, camera, Steam account or game save.
Email, questions and changes
If you email [email protected], include only the information needed to explain your question. Your message and any attachments are processed through the email services used to receive and answer it; sending email is separate from browsing the site.
For privacy questions, identify the page or feature involved. Do not send account credentials or identity documents. This notice may change when site functionality changes; the displayed modification date identifies the latest substantive revision.
