Released patches

Changes shipped in the patches below. Check your installed version before looking for a feature or fix.

  • v1.0.5Released

    Patch 1.0.5: Building & Automation

Move structures, build on dusty ground and improve capsule delivery.

    • Building and placement. Build on dusty terrain and around foundations; move structures with R, cancel with right mouse and remove with X. Demolition now refunds 100%. Middle mouse copies rotation and style. Machine grid spacing is 0.5 m, with free-placement controls.
    • Automation and world capacity. Catcher groups use a 100 m range and an 80% fill threshold. Garage silos display outfeed problems. The world capsule ceiling rises from 10,000 to 90,000. Large-base packing and Auto-Packer failures are fixed.
    • Stability and multiplayer. Loading freezes, world-exit memory leaks, construction-related leaks and garbage-collection stutters receive fixes. Public-game warnings, voice-volume controls and vehicle-camera options are added. Region payout, teleport launches, placement and controller-input bugs are addressed.

  • v1.0.4Released

    Patch 1.0.4: Robots, Backups & Co-op

Robot delivery improvements, night vision and automatic backups.

    • Robots, map and lighting. Night Vision Goggles cost $350 and join the N lighting cycle. Map waypoints, station teleport controls and robot filters improve navigation. J.O.O.N.A.S. sends capsules without its former docking sequence, works away from players, replans around obstacles and shows a full-bin warning.
    • Backups and compatibility. Each save slot keeps five rotating backups. The first occurs after one minute, then every 30 minutes. Backups are outside Steam Cloud. Saving, quitting and damaged-save recovery improve; saves written by 1.0.4 cannot open in older builds.
    • Belts and platform fixes. Mergers alternate inputs, and crewmates can attach belt forks. Ground synchronization, stalled packing, foundations and robot paths receive fixes. Proton startup is repaired; AMD defaults to DirectX 11, with DirectX 12 available as a launch option.

  • v1.0.3Released

Patch 1.0.3: Shared Upgrades & Delivery

Crew-wide upgrades, host controls and belt-fed deposit fixes.

    • Shared progression and host controls. The host’s Upgrade Matrix becomes crew-wide. Crew members can purchase shared upgrades, with previous progress reconciled. Hosts gain kick, ban and unban controls under Your Crew; everyone must use the same patch.
    • Belts, placement and selling. Dust and stone entering the collector by belt pay immediately. Carried capsules can be placed where aimed. Forks snap between ports and machines can cross foundations. Multiplayer forks receive fixes.
    • Vehicles, saves and performance. Any garage can manage owned vehicles. Removing a garage preserves its vehicles. Large-save loading, damaged-save checks and driving/teleport streaming improve. The developer reports frame-rate improvements; this site has not independently benchmarked them.

  • STUDIO NOTEAnnounced

    A Message From the Developers

The two-person team discusses launch issues, co-op fixes and automation priorities.

    • Launch priorities. The two-person studio acknowledges crashes, performance problems, co-op issues and uneven automation progression. It describes shared research, save protection, host moderation and belt fixes already shipped.
