FIELD GUIDE / LUNAR OPERATIONSMOON SWEEPERS WIKI

If you’re new to Moon Sweepers mods, start with one that solves a problem you already run into. QuickStart is a good starting point for solo play, while Moon Sweepers QoL is worth a look if you’re hunting flags. These picks are based on the authors’ release notes and requirements.

Everyday play

Spend less time in menus, find your next landmark or change how the game behaves while you use another window.

  • QuickStart cover image

QuickStart for getting back to a solo save

If you usually open the same solo world, I’d start with QuickStart. It saves a few clicks every session. I’d skip it if you mainly log in to join a friend’s lobby.

    • What it does. Skip the intro and reopen your most recently played world as a solo session. You can return to the main menu afterward to change worlds or join friends.
    • Requires. BepInEx 6 IL2CPP + MoonSweepers BepInEx Patcher.
    • Before you install. Auto-load starts a solo session; it is not an automatic co-op lobby joiner.

  • Moon Sweepers QoL cover image

Moon Sweepers QoL for finding flags and landmarks

If you’re down to the last few flags and tired of retracing your route, I’d look at this for the Landmark Scanner. If you only need coordinates, try the interactive map first. Installing the mod also changes what you can unlock.

    • What it does. Add a purchasable Landmark Scanner to help find unraised flags and lunar sites. The plugin also adds progression options for belts, processors and robot vacuums.
    • Requires. BepInEx 6 IL2CPP + MoonSweepers BepInEx Patcher.
    • Before you install. Adds upgrade-tree content. Check the author’s current configuration and multiplayer notes before adding it to a shared world.

  • No Pause On Lost Focus cover image

No Pause On Lost Focus for playing with a second screen

I’d pick this if you keep a guide or map in another window and want the game to keep running when you switch over. Leave it out if you rely on switching windows to pause.

    • What it does. Keep movement from pausing when you switch to another window. Useful when checking a map or guide alongside the game.
    • Requires. BepInEx 6.0.0-be.791, Unity.IL2CPP win-x64 + MoonSweepers BepInEx Patcher.
    • Before you install. Changes focus behaviour, not the game’s normal pause controls. Co-op behaviour has not been tested by this site.

  • Moon Performance cover image

Moon Performance for busy robot bases

If your frame rate drops around a base full of J.O.O.N.A.S. robots, this is the performance mod I’d look at first. Try it on a copy of your save and compare the same area before and after.

    • What it does. Reduce repeated background work in larger bases, especially those using many J.O.O.N.A.S. robots. Check this option if late-game base activity is slowing a session.
    • Requires. BepInEx 6 IL2CPP + MoonSweepers BepInEx Patcher.
    • Before you install. Performance gains are an author claim, not a benchmark from this site. Results depend on your world, system and other plugins.

Vehicles & logistics

Try new ways to collect and move dust. These add equipment to a world, so read the author’s removal instructions before installing.

  • Moon Skimmer — Flying Vacuum Craft cover image

Moon Skimmer for cleaning by air

If you’ve already tried the garage sweepers and want a different way to tackle a dust field, I’d pick the Moon Skimmer. At $10,000, it’s a vehicle to save for once your base is earning money.

    • What it does. Add a garage-bought flying cleaner with hover, free flight, boost and a 500 kg base dust silo. The listed base purchase is $10,000.
    • Requires. BepInEx 6 IL2CPP + MoonSweepers BepInEx Patcher.
    • Before you install. Author-tested on game 1.0.5, Windows x64, keyboard and mouse. Co-op and controllers are unverified. Remove owned craft before uninstalling.

  • Mass Driver — Rocket Dust Logistics cover image

Mass Driver for moving dust between bases

I’d consider Mass Driver when hauling dust between two established sites has become a regular chore. It makes more sense when both ends have conveyors ready to handle the delivery.

    • What it does. Move dust between a belt-fed launcher and a receiving building using rockets. The receiver returns the dust to a conveyor instead of selling it in flight.
    • Requires. BepInEx 6 IL2CPP + MoonSweepers BepInEx Patcher + MoonFramework.
    • Before you install. The author requires every co-op player to install the mod and MoonFramework. Check current save and removal instructions before changing a world.

Visuals

Change the view above your cleanup route without adding another production step.

  • Living Sky cover image

Living Sky for a different view on long routes

I’d choose Living Sky if you like long drives across the Moon and want more to look at along the way. It’s an easy pick when you’re happy with the way cleaning and upgrades already work.

    • What it does. Change the lunar sky with planets, stars, constellations and celestial events. Individual effects can be switched off in the plugin’s configuration.
    • Requires. BepInEx 6.0.0-be.791, IL2CPP win-x64 + MoonSweepers BepInEx Patcher.
    • Before you install. Described by the author as a local visual mod. It does not require every player to see the same sky effects.

Match the loader to the mod

The releases listed here use BepInEx 6 IL2CPP with the MoonSweepers BepInEx Patcher. The patcher author specifies build 6.0.0-be.791 for Unity.IL2CPP Windows x64; the Mono, Framework and CoreCLR packages are different builds. Mass Driver also needs MoonFramework, linked in its author’s requirements.

  1. Close the game and copy your current world and backups. Use the Windows save and backup guide to find the right host slot.
  2. Read the mod’s Requirements and installation notes. Follow the MoonSweepers BepInEx Patcher instructions for the loader and first launch.
  3. Keep the folder layout supplied by the author. BepInEx plugins belong in the stated BepInEx folders; a different loader’s Mods folder is not interchangeable.
  4. Try one addition in a separate world first. For co-op, follow each author’s host and client requirements rather than assuming everyone needs the same setup.

After a game patch, check the mod and loader pages before reopening a world that uses added equipment. Updating a mod is not the same as updating the game, and removing a plugin may need in-game cleanup first.

Questions before you install

Where do I download these mods?

Use the Nexus Mods link on each entry to reach its author’s release, requirements and file history. This site does not host plugin files or installers.

Will a mod work with my current game version?

Check the author’s compatibility notes and recent file updates. A recent upload alone does not confirm support for your game version, other installed mods or a shared world.

Can I use several mods together?

Start with the required loader and add one plugin at a time. Mods that change the same vehicle controls, upgrade tree or machine behaviour can conflict. Keep an untouched world copy before combining them.
